I'm 34 and just had a pacemaker implanted on Feb. 1st of this year. I just received my Latitude Communicator from Boston Scientific. I read in the booklet, that you can purchase a cellular data plan through them if you don't have a landline. It didn't have any information about it. I called the 1-800 number, but they are closed for the weekend. I was curious if anyone uses this plan and approximately how much it costs and if its reliable.
Thanks in advance,
Tiffany M. :-)

Data plan info

Hey there. So I finally got my latitude data plan hooked up. It's $13.99 a month. It sends the information wirelessly. Does your communicator have the heart button in the middle? If so, that's their newest model that can be wireless.
Hope to hear back,
Tiffany

young women with pacers
by sunbeems2000 - 2013-10-18 02:10:52
Hi ladies!
I got my first pacer on my 16 th birthday. They sang Happy birthday to me as they put me to sleep. I am now 38 and am on my 3rd pacer. Sometimes they can place them under the muscle so it doesn't stick out so much. I asked for mine to be moved a bit so ot wasn't so noticeable. Didn't happen!!!! Oh well!!! Good luck, if you have any questions feel to ask. Ive dealt with a lot of stuff to be 38. I am actually pacer dependent, have one lung, and a congential heart defect. Talk to you soon.

It's much better to live with a pacemaker than to risk your life without one.
Adjusting well
by Tiffanym78 - 2013-03-17 10:03:15
Hi there. I'm adjusting well, thank you. :-). The pacemaker doesn't give any shocks, thank GOD!! I was very sore for the first few weeks. I opted to have my PM put in a more descrete place with no visible scaring. I had the PM placed under my breast, so it was very tender. The incision near my armpit hurt worse than the incision under my my breast. Other than being sore, I felt great my second week. On my third week, I started feeling dizzy and faint with chest pains. My meds have had to be adjusted a few times. I had bradycardia and tachycardia. The PM is taking care of my slow HR, but I still need meds for the rapid HR. I'm sure in a few years, I won't even think about it. :-). It's funny though, when people find out I have a PM, they looked shocked. I just look at them and say "I look good for 72, don't I?" :-). I hope all is going well for you. I will let you know what I find out tomorrow, when I call.
Take care!
