Travel insurance!!

Hey everyone,I'm 23 years old and have been recently fitted with a pacemaker,i am hoping to travel to Australia in April and am finding it really hard to find a company that will give me insurance for the year with my medical condition!any information or help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Kirsty, I tend to use my bank (Scottish of course!) and they are extremely reasonable, generally only about 20pc more on top of a normal premium!

Which country do you live in ? If you are in the UK I know that some Insurance companies here are more relaxed about giving travel insurance to people with medical conditions than others. The consumer magazine " Which"
often publishes articles on just that subject.

I have never had any problems finding travel insurance but many companies charge an extra premium if you've had an op within 12 months of travelling.

Your medical condition, which you didn't expand on, will obviously affect the ease with which you can get travel insurance but having a PM should not make that much difference
