I don't see why a PM would make a difference in becoming a doctor. We always need good doctors. You should ask your EP what he or she thinks.

LUV the previous 'comments' above ~ just hope if you do become a doctor, you would remember always and forever the patient is human and has feelings.

So many doctors have no patience due to their attitude and/or insurance companies demand on them. Please take the time to listen well, have patience and take the time in 'lay' terms to talk to your patients.

Good luck to you. At 15 years old, you have your whole life ahead, and you only live once. Do what makes you happy and is fun for you, while making monies.

Let us hear from you in the future,

As HURTHEART says technology is moving at a fast rate so whatever you are told now may not apply when you are a qualified Dr.

But , at the present time, it is possible that some medical specialities should be avoided if you have a PM .

Anaesthetics ( or Anaesthesiology depending on where you come from ) is a good example. In operating theatres, often electrocautery equipment is used which can interfere with a PM .So maybe Anaesthetics and Surgery should be avoided ! In Emergency and Trauma departments it is possible that the same applies.

I can tell you who would definitely know ..your cardiologist. Next time you see him ask if there are any medical specialities which you should avoid when you become a Dr

Best of luck with your ambitions
