How I yearn for some undisturbed sleep. I am kept awake by my poundings and irregular heart rate. This is something that started about ten days ago and I try to console myself by reading all the articles that say "they" won't kill you. Does help a little. After my last interrogation about two months ago I had some really good days. I am assuming others have had this problem. What do you do to get some sleep? Sleeping pills, anti-depressants? I am going to EP tomorrow to see about all my PAC runs and AHRs. Just had to talk to someone before then. Thanks.

I opted for a sleeping pill - one of the hypnitics that dont so much knock you out but allow you to sleep.
The police are very grateful. I live in South Africa and bumps in the night don't herald anything good. When I am not sleeping my active imagination has me hearing all kinds of things.
I once had 13 police vehicles trying to park on my front lawn. They searched the premises for the source of what I had decided was imminent danger - nothing! Very embarrassing.
Good luck - nothing worse than watching the clock inch towards daylight
perchance to dream.

Thanks for the suggestions. Just caught an hours sleep. Do have a night light and will try the sound idea. My GP, a wonderful understanding type will prescribe something I am sure. She wants back that patient that she used to have, not this worry wart. I was doing so well I thought. That is why this is so upsetting to me. It is almost six months now since implant. First three months were baaaad, then thing got better after second tweaking but now back to baaaaad again. Maybe a tweaking or if not that an explanation as to why I have regressed. Let you know. Again my thanks for your caring.

...a long time ago.
If you don't do it, leave a small nightlight on in the room where you sleep & either get a noise generator for the bedroom. A noise generator makes a rushing sound, not unlike waves lapping on a beach. Or you can turn on a radio & let it play music at a barely discernible level.
If you sleep in a completely dark, silent room you suffer what my Cardio calls "sensory deprivation." It is an absolute guarantee that you will feel every arrhythmia that occurs. The senses are always looking for something to lock onto & your arrhythmias are as good as anything else.
