Kilimanjaro climb

Hi all, my name is Sally, I'm an 18 year student and I had my pacemaker fitted three years ago. I've decided in July to climb Kilimanjaro (the highest mountain in Africa) for a charity called Hope For Children helping to clothe, feed, house and educate homeless children.

A lot of people say I'm crazy for doing this with a pacemaker, but I know it's been done before (although not by someone as young as me) and I'm determined not only to raise money but also awareness that you really can achieve almost anything with some determination, heart condition or not.

In order to climb I need to raise a fundraising target, so I was wondering if anyone would like to donate to this great cause and help me reach the top! The link is http://www.hopeheroes.org/sally_griffithsparry
and no donation is too small! I would be SO grateful for any help.

Thanks everyone!
Sally x

Sally I've just been on your page, it may be a little helpful if you explain to people in here who you are and where you are from. Good luck.

Hi!
At the moment I'm a law student in Nottingham UK, but originally I'm from Liverpool.
Thank you very much!

You know you're wired when...

You have a T-shirt that reads “Wired4Sound”.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
