Update

Hi all,
I just thought I let you know how I'm doing on my 8th day post PM implantation. Actually the procedure went much easier than what I thought without any complications. The dressing came off 3 days ago and now I'm able to shower, yeah!!!.
My symptoms like SOB,palpitations, tiredness, headaches eventhough my EP did not think were related to my 1st to 2nd degree HB are gradually disappearing.
They adjusted my lower rate from 60 to 40 and I!m sleeping a lot better without sleeping pills. They also adjusted the sleeping mode from 12PM to 7AM, EST. my question is if I travel to CA, do the setting has to be re-set?.
I want to thank all the members who really gave me lots of support and sound advice. Abbass

So happy for you.

If you travel, you are stuck with your current sleep mode settings unless whoever takes care of you and your PM are willing to adjust the sleep mode prior to travel.

I've had my PM since November 2nd of 2004 (still on the same one) and I travel a few times per year to different time zones - usually 2 hrs behind what I'm accustomed to - I don't bother getting my sleep settings changed as I usually only go away for 2 weeks, but I think if I were to be away any longer I would ask for them to consider changing the sleep mode. The worst they can say is no.

Again, so glad things are working out for you.

Take care,
Pookie

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
