is it ok to use an electric matress cover?

Hi all,

we live in Colorado and it does get rather cold at night. Is it ok to use an electric mattress cover once you have had a pacemaker implanted?

I use a heated mattress pad (electric) and don't have any problems. I will usually turn it on high about 30 minutes before bed and I turn it off once I'm in bed or else I will get too hot. Sometimes I don't have the luxury of turning it on early to pre-warm the bed so I just go to bed with it on and wake up to turn it off when I get too hot. I live in Michigan and keep my house very cool at night.

pad since forever (live in Alaska-enough said). It was recommended when I got my 1st PM in 2000 I had an older one & it was recommended that I get a new one. Did that & all OK. I do turn it on about an hour before go to bed & depending I turn it down from High to either low or off if not too cold. All been OK with PM. Can't say same for electric blanket. Who knew that can't put other covers on some of them. Happily I woke up in time to throw it out on the snow.
