I will marry.....

Greetings to everyone.... !

Thank you for your support .
I Have my first PM on 06.12.2012 , so far so good , my doctor says everything is going ok , my battery life is up to 10 years, i did have a check on 11.07.2013 my leads are positioned ok ,,, well I am just getting ready for my marriage, I will marry on 22.08.2013.

After that I will go a few days on the beach, my worries are :
1 - Can I swim as before, because I have muscular body and I'm afraid that I might move the leads ( the last 10 months i haven't use my body to much ) ?
2 - although my wound after 10 months, is very delicate. can it be opened again in contact with sea water?
3 - what about the heat does it affect my PM ?

I may have lack of information, but the placement of PM is the first time that I go to the hospital, and I have no experince to care for health,,,,,

I have been searching online for detailed information regarding living with PM, but I always find the same words and nothing detailed

Thanks.....

Heat

Hi Eni!! Congrats on your upcoming marriage!! I've been married for five years now, and had my pm for three. Swimming should be just fine. Ecspecially after 10 months. My cardiologist told me it would take a ridiculous amount of force to pull a lead after months, so hopefully that eases some if your fears. Although angry sparrow is right regarding your pm and heat, I have had a difficult time dealing with the heat since my pm was implanted. I live in Alabama where summers can be stifling. I would be careful to pay attention to your body. If you start getting dizzy or having any nausea I would take a break indoors. I hope you have a wonderful honeymoon!! All the best, Abelle

You know you're wired when...

You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
