I just was recently diagnosed with CHF in June of this year. with ef of 20-30%. Went home from that and a month later went to Maine on a business trip for 2 months. bp would drop to as low as 90/50 range with pulse as low as 60 sometimes lower. Toes would sometimes turn blue when sleeping but would recover as soon as I woke up and moved around.
Came back in sept and saw cardiologist, asked if I was getting tired. not so much in normal daily use. do find that when it comes time for exertion type work, muscles will quickly go to lactose state. nothing really changed and no guidance on when to return.
Original Cardiologist then moved out of state. so have new one since diagnosis.
Also have between stage 3 and stage 4 kidney failure. (depending on the results on that day) and Diabetes.
During the middle of this saw the kidney doctor and postassium was at 5.3, she was concerned with that number so cut back my lisinpril from 20 to 10. and to see her in 3 months.
A week later had a gout attacked. PCP recommended a Rhum. and went to see her. Uric acid was at 14.1 and potassium was at 6.1
at that point stopped taking the potassium sparing diuretic (each of my hospital visits my potassium was REALLY low) and the Lisinipril, until could get appointment with Cardiologist
which she took me off the lasix also. did a follow up echo. and blood work and see her on tuesday.
During her visit she suggested a Pacemaker with the numbers from the Hospital and in most cases that the follow up was in 3 months. So little anxious, especially as I work in the High Tech industry in factory setting.
Sorry for the stream of thought. been a hectic past month

To tell you the truth I never even give it a second thought. While growing up it never stopped me from doing anything and to this day my girlfriend or my kids need to remind me that I have one!

I know from reading typically looking at 6 weeks.
I am 46 and Single. and have no family in the Local area. have a couple of friends but don't want to impose.
So how long before doc would let you drive again?. When I had my CHF I drove myself into the hospital. and recovered afterwards.
How long before you returned to work?. My work can get physical some nights other nights just pressing buttons to clear alarms.
How much does it affect lifting right arm?? during the healing process??
