HI,
I'm a 32 year old woman who has had three ablations for inappropriate sinus tach, the last one left me in junctional bradycardia. After watching it for 3 months it was decided that it was time for a pacemaker, I had a boston scientific single lead atrial pacing only pacemaker implanted in early January. I had my three month post implantation check up today everything looks good but I have developed a murmur in the last three months. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I also was diagnosed with a murmur a couple years ago they just monitor it with a echo every year just to see if there are any changes or it would get worse everyone has some degree of leakage in the heart valves !!

A murmur is just a leak. Having the lead in the heart by definition causes a leak which could come up on a report as a murmur, I guess. Lots of people have murmurs all their lives that are asymptomatic so they never know about them. With all the testing we have we are more likely to find them so you may have had it all along. Most of them are harmless. I've had them come and go half a dozen times since I was first diagnosed in 1970. One will show up for a couple of years then disappear. I had a mitral valve prolapse through my late teens through my 20's but no sign of it in the last ten years. The heart is a moving, working muscle so things change over time. Unless they said the leakage is causing issues, I wouldn't worry too much.
