inapprpriate sinus tach complications

I am a 31 year old who has been dealing with IST for about 3 years now. I had my third RF ablation about 2 weeks ago. This ablation left me in a junctional rhythm with rates in the high 30's low 40's at rest and up into the 60's with activity. I am feeling better than when my rates where 120-150 at rest and 200+ with activity and never dropped below 100 even sleeping, but I am symptomatic with the slow rhythm and my doctor is hoping with time my rates will improve. I have to return to my job at a hospital, on a very busy floor, and am very nervous about if I will be able to keep up. Anyone else delt with something similar? Any advice would be appreciated!

The same thing happened to me after my 2nd ablation. I ended up with a pacemaker 4 months later because the junctional rhythm was getting worse. My EP at the time kept saying it would improve, but actually it got worse. A friend of mine who is a pacemaker tech urged me to get a second opinion. She insisted I needed a pacemaker and I did. I was 41 at the time with 2 small children and could not keep up with them at all. It has now been a year and things are so much better. I hope you start to feel better and the junctional rhythm subsides.

Thanks for your experience, yes I think I am headed for a pacemaker also. My doc hasn't ruled it out, he is just waiting to see if I will have a atrial foci pop up and take over again like my last two ablations. The waiting is horrible and trying to re-learn how to do everyday things and feeling like your body is fighting you is such a hard experience. Thank you though, knowing that things got better after your pacemaker helps.
