Just starting

I just got my pacemaker implanted about 4 days ago. I've been having a hard time sleeping, finding a comfortable position to sleep. Any suggestions?

sleeping

I like to sleep on my side/stomach, HATE sleeping on my back, so sleeping right after surgery was a challenge for me. I found it helpful to hug a small pillow with my left arm. This kept me from rolling over onto my sore side. Good luck. How are you feeling otherwise?

Adjusting

Thanks TraceyE, I will try that. I too hate sleeping on my back. By time I was three years old I had already had two open heart surgeries so because of that I ended up with scoliosis and sleeping on my back always hurts. :-( No joy there. I will try the small pillow trick. Otherwise I'm just trying to adjust. One day at a time I guess.

Pillow Huggers

One of these days some psychologist will discover our Pillow Hugging Syndrome (PHS) and they will develop a med to treat it.

The problem is that it is too cheap and effective. It can't be allowed to last long.
