Doing Better

Just a quick update. I had written previously about getting the pacemaker Sept. 27 and for 6 solid weeks I had major PVC's and PAC's that were driving me crazy and keeping my up at night. I was getting very little sleep and the stress was terrible. Finally got the doctor to listen and he made some adjustments to the settings on my pm. Things improved some but a few days later it's like something clicked and everything was ok again. I still have some irregular beats now and then but it doesn't last and it doesn't happen too often. I'm not waking up at night with the feeling that my heart is going to jump out of my chest and that is a blessing.
Thanks to those of you who talked me through that rough patch. As a new member to this site I was not sure what to expect but you have all been very supportive and helpful with advice. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for lots of things but right here and now I'm very thankful for improved health!
Have a great holiday all!
Kathy

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
