pm check

Forgot to ask on my last post, When you have pm check why does ya heart race when they first put the probe on ya pm its most uncomfy only lasts for a few seconds but still not nice.

It's forcibly pacing you to measure a few things. PacerRep can probably give more details. I'm not entirely sure if it's because it's doing a magnet rate test or if it's force-pacing @ a manufacturer-specified rate to measure impedance.

You probably have a Biotronik or Medtronic I'm guessing?

They go through a Unipolar test at their programmed magnet rate. Typically its going to Pace the Atrium and the Ventricle. If your not used to that type of pacing at those speeds, that's what you feel. Lasts around 10 beats depending on the model.

i have a medtronic Adapta dual lead and yes it only lasts a few seconds and feels very strong racey beats then subsides i dont feel anything else then for the rest of the interrigation :) .

It's a self magnet test, no worries. Magnet rates are another way to assess battery strength so it runs that test for us right away so we have the data.
