Hi! With the sudden onset and repetition, you certainly have reason for concern. Are you having other symptoms of concern? Thinking it best you check this out with your medical care to be safe and have peace of mind. Hopeful Heart

Interogation Time

Hi Kimbo,

I agree with Hope, you need an interogation. The pacer should tell them exactly what the deal is.

Just my wild guess, I think it is doubtful that the pacer made your heart race- about the only thing that would make the pacer do that would be some oddball Rate Response setting and that is pretty unlikely.

A more likely scenario would be junctional tachycardia or svt. If you haven't felt that before, hopefully it is just something infrequent.

Good luck,

E. B.

I had the same fluttering feeling; and the doctor tells me that I am still having some aflutter. Changed my meds. I am only a few months with my new best friend, Patty the Pacemaker.

Rate Drop Response can also have this effect

If you have this setting turned on, you could experience periods of high heart rate when it goes off. If that's the case, then you might try reframing how you think about it since it is actually set to help you. But, like the others said, you can't know until you get an interrogation. Make sure you track exact date and time and what you were doing at the time to help your dr. identify the cause.
