I received a pacemaker implant about 7 weeks ago. Most of the time I feel fine but every now and then I feel dizzy. I have gone to the doctor twice and the pacemaker is working fine. My blood pressure and pulse have also been fine. Any ideas what could be causing this?

wEspecially beta blockers. They made me very dizzy. The doc switched me to another type and cut down the dose. It's much better now. Carol

IN the beginning I was dizzy a little too,I wasnt on any meds at the time,10 days after PM was put in,I ended up in ER and had pacer adjusted, and the dizziness pretty muchwent away then.I am on a low dose beta blocker now,and am not dizzy at all,Id say keep asking and getting things checked and eliminated til you find out whats doing it.

Are you taking blood pressure meds? If not, it takes time for the body to adjust to the pacing of the device. Dizziness is a part of life with my pacemaker. But, I have learned how to adjust my movements and not jump up quickly when I am seated.

A pacemaker completely solved my problem. In fact, it was implanted just 7 weeks ago and I ran a race today, placed first in my age group.
not the pacemaker?

It's possible your dizziness is not related to the pacemaker at all. It could be your inner ear. If it continues I'd recommend seeing an ENT.
