Hi Ross,

I supervise 320 technicians (we handle building maintenance for a large utility) so I know a little about what you will be facing. For the first couple of months you want to avoid heavy lifting, especially with the left arm; it takes a while to get the leads healed in there.

If you are worried about electrical interference, I can tell you that I am around chillers, condensing units, pumps, generators, etc. every day and I have never had any problem.

Your doctor should be your guide regarding any physical limitations of your work.

Good luck,

EB

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
