Hi All! I haven't posted in awhile but pop in now and again to see how everyone is doing :)
I have another question to my fellow pacers our there. For the past week i've been having mid sternal chest pain. Pressure/Heaviness 2-4/10. Not enough to stop me but more of an nussiance... Also some shortness of breathe with any type of activity. I did have a little bit of a head cold earlier in the week and just contributed it to this but once I started feeling better and it continued, I'm getting a little more concerned. The shortness of breath is comparable to right after I had "my little friend" placed and was having issues with tachycardia but have since been placed on verapamil 240 mg twice daily and have been feeling much better. I've had my pacer for 3 1/2 months and didn't know if any one else has experienced this type of discomfort and what the issue was. I made an appointment to see me cardiologist Tuesday. Thanks a tons as always!

I was told by my cardio any chest pain call me , can't get ahold of me go to ER. I would suggest same, you do have pain and pressure, better safe then sorry. Luck Jean

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
You are a week too late at calling...

...the surgeon. Chest pains are a very good reason to call & if you don't get the surgeon, go to the ER. #2 Daughter is an ER Doc. She tells people that she'd rather see you for a false alarm than as a corpse from a heart attack. That's why the ER is there.
