Change of heart

Has anyone felt a massive urge to change their life/occupation since undergoing a pm procedure?

I had a pm inserted 6 weeks ago, and despite having had medical problems to deal with for many years, suddenly I need to make changes.

Just wanted to share .......It's not possible for people around me to understand as they haven't experienced what I have but you guys might.........

Follow your heart. I just retired (age 60) and although the money is not great I love just wakeing up and being able to spend time doing whatever I wish. I have some security but could not do another day of just working for a check. Life is short and there is nothin' wrong with enjoying yourself. Most of us have played the game a long time and appreciate more than most how precious time is. So do what you want and enjoy yourself - it's allowed. Serious illness has a way of making you more aware of what truly is valuable. "Time is the final currency, not money, not power" (David Crosby) Go have some fun :0)

Hi! You are so right about how hard it is for those around us to understand our needs and perspective. Sometimes it is just best we leave it that we know those in our lives care at their level of understanding and move forward with the 'now me'. Our emotions tend to wobble, but I think we see life more foritself than ever before. Just make sure your decisions are made on your needs and perspective and not in response to others' reactions to you now. I hope the 'now you' finds much happiness. Hopeful Heart

Thank you

I think any time you go through a life changing experience no matter if it's medical or otherwise, it makes you take a look at your life and wonder if this is where you really want to be. No one's life is perfect. Keep that in mind.

I'm with Hope. Make sure to think before you leap. Really think things through and make sure it's what your heart really wants. Make sure too, it's not depression or anxiety, anger, a hormone issue, etc., that can't be addressed in another way.

Good luck.

When I saw the car that my cardiologist drives ( top of the range Porsche !) I had a massive urge to become a doctor.
