Newbie here having just found this site.
I had a pacemaker fitted last year due to heart block caused by sarcoidosis, also have pulmonary sarc as well...still get palpitations every once in a while...very scary stuff; would like to know if anybody else with the same condition also gets these.
Thanks

PVC's

I have sarcoidosis in my heart. I have gone from a peak PVC lost of over 8% to down to about 1% now. They're not pleasant but a very common side effect of any PM implant. Another thing to consider that many of what people think are PVC's are actually due to occasional capture by phrenic nerve or muscles in the rib cage of the electrical stimulation of the pacer. Some folks just have really tough to install 3rd lead opportunities for the doc's during surgery. That was my case. I'lll be talking to them if I ever get into Sarc remission for an epicardial 3rd lead placement of some type. I guess now there are even multi-stimulation area leads that help a lot because the area of stimulation by the PM can be altered as needed.

Palpitations of one sort or another are very common with most of us. We get the pacer for some condition that upsets the electrical conduction in our heart and it complains.
Most of them are harmless unless they cause lightheadedness or shortness of breath.
