hi from germany

*don't take care of my mistakes, i'm from germany ;-)*

hi everyone,

my name is moni, i'm 29 years old and come from ulm in germany. i study comupter sciences (at the moment i work on my diploma thesis).
for more than 15 years i had ventricular extrabeats (up to 17000 per day), took nebivolol und bisoprolol and went well for a long time with this solution. but two years ago, i got more and more problems like decreasing concentration, floppiness, dizziness and syncopes. in may 2011 i had my first epu with ablation and in august 2011 i got an eventrecorder (sjm confirm) implanted. the attempt to help me with sotalol ended in an allergic reaction. as a last trial from medication side i got flecainid. i went a little bit better with it, but my general condition was still in a bad way.
after a long seesaw i went to another hospital in january and february 2012, where i had two other epu's with ablations. since then my ventricular extrabeats are nearly away. :-) as before all the procedures i still have problems with sinusbradycardias and inadequate sinustachycardias. after another period of seesaw i finally got my pacemaker (sorin reply dr) fittet at the beginning of august 2012. i still have problems, but alltogether it's much less compared to the time before. i can sleep much more better, have the power to drive my car and to work for the university again, began to do aqua fitness with my best friend and so on.
i'm only paced to a low percentage, but it seems that i can now begin to look forward to a new begin of my life. even if my current situation is not the one i expect for the future. i have al lot of problems with my shoulder, but i'm going to physiotherapy.

now, i'm here in this forum and will share my experiences with you!

greetings from germany,

moni

Hi Monilein,

Don is right, "Snitch" is from Germany also, and you'll find her with a wealth of information, as well as some folks here.

Moni: you are not alone here. There is a woman named Inga who is a German citizen. Her screen name is "snitch." If you need help you might try contacting her via the private message system, where you can converse in your native language. Sometimes that can be helpful.
