It sounds like that may be your condition. Thats what I had and got my pm in March. You will forget it is there in short order. Good luck. Steve

I had my PM implant on 11/09. After the initial recovery time as told to me by my heart Dr./nurse and getting back to my daily routine the same time period/year, I forget I even have a PM! The only 2 times I have remembered I have the PM is when I would accidentally hit the PM/area w/my hand or something when talking w/my hands ~ then the motion/contact told me the PM was there.
With all the Great help, advice, 'comments/posts' on this PM site for all my questions, concerns, worries, my 'energizer bunny', as I call it, is supposed to last until 2017 ~
Don't worry about your implant/recovery. Just do what your Dr/nurse says and listen to your own body talking to you. If you get tired and/or have 'over done' something, your body will tell you to rest/take care ~
Keep us posted on your surgery and Great Progress ~

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
