I thought myopathy by definition was a weakening of the heart. If you are asking if it can make EF drop, then yes, sometimes it can. Mayo Clinic has a nice explanation of the different types of myopathy and what is associated with each one

cardiomyopathy is the definition of a weakend heart...my ef has been as low as 15%...just had my bivad installed on friday...really interested to see what my ef is now
