I had a pacemaker implanted in July/201 (left side)..
Since then I have only one complaint.
When I raise my left arm in a "side raise" or "fly", or especially if I reach back to get my arm in a coat I get a pain near the deltoid area. Other directions of movement are fine.
ps: I've made 84 trips around the sun and two or more MDs have remarked that I present about 10 years younger.
Any similar pains? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
R

Shoulder Pain

I had my first pm in 2004 and a replacement battery in 2010. Since my first pm I have suffered with shoulder pain on my left side. Reaching up makes it worse and leaning on my left arm when laying down causing pain. It has been investigated at all levels except and MRI which the specialist would like done but cant. Sp said he is not going to operate when he cannot ascertain
where pain is coming from. So he gave me a needle. It helped a bit. It always interests me when I hear shoulder pain mentioned by so many folks. I wonder if my leads are aggravating a nerve. Meanwhile I just have to live with it and dread winter when it is worse. So, does that mean it is arthritis? I would love for this problem to be resolved. So you have my sympathy. Cheers

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.
