Just had to write about how I feel today. Just posted a new world record. Well, really, it's just a new personal best, but it's the best in my world. Road my exercise bike 21.1 miles in one hour and burned 777 calories. My previous best was 20.9 miles.
I'm just so happy that this thing in my chest has let me continue to do all the things I could do before my PM. I really get a sad feeling in my heart though when I read about all of you who continue to have problems. I almost feel a little guilty and wonder why I am so lucky.
In a sense it's as if we are a worldwide family with great communication because we can express all our feelings and gain strength from each otherâs experiences. I pray for all of us every evening that we can continue to live a life of joy and health.
Feeling blessed, not just for my health but also because of all of you.
Jerry

Always love hearing when someone is feeling better than ever. Congrats on your personal record, may you continue to improve.
You know you're wired when...

A pacemaker suddenly quitting is no more likely to happen than you are to be struck by lightening.
CLS sensor

That's great, Jerry!
I was wondering: Do you have the CLS (closed loop stimulation) sensor in your Evia switched on or can you do without a rate response sensor activated?
Still in the process of trying to decide whether to replace my current pacemaker with one that allows for a better rate response. Biotronik's CLS sounds great theoretically, but then my cardio had to switch it off in all of his elderly patients who had it, because they were constantly having racing heart beat. And my EP hasn't got experience with CLS. He says, if it works well for me, it would be a HUGE improvement as it not only senses activity, but also mental stress etc. I have done lots of research, and the majority of studies says that CLS provides a very physiologic rate response. However, there seem to be always a few patients who do not tolerate it at all. And when you have to switch it off, you are left with an accelerometer that is definitely not the best on the market. So, question is: Do I risk that or do I take a Medtronic device with a very well functioning accelerometer (and its known limitations)?
If you have your CLS activated, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks!
