Morning everyone,
I know I have read in the past posts that a lot of you there thought that you are very healthy so PM implant is really unexpected....I thought so too!
My question is...does anyone had a feeling that your immune system have gone weak after the pm implant or is it just me thinking this way?
It's flu season and I know a lot of people got sick nowadays.
I barely got cold/flu in my life (one of the reason for thinking I'm healthy!)....I don't even remember having one in the past decade. I know when it's allergy related symptoms(I'm used to that!)
I'm quite active, I don't drink alcohol, don't smoke, I'm not into any diet but I eat more healthier foods...so where do I go wrong?
I've been sick for five days now...and aching all over...don't have any trouble feeling PM related(aside from still being sore on the incision area..yeah...still there...and it's almost five months now since the implant)....still working on it!
I'm close to having asthma whenever I'm coughing...chest getting tight!
Is there any relevance between there????? or am I just unlucky to get the virus this year?

Could be the reverse

An immune system deficiency could have caused you to pick up an infection that affected your heart causing the need for a pacer.
In either case the result is the same.

It could be many things not necessarily related to your pm and too many illnesses do mimic the flu. Could be from medications too! You should see your doctor. Hope you fell better soon.

Question

I think this is a question for your doctor because there are other things that can mimic flu but can be more (or even less) dangerous. I've had my PM for just over two years and have never been better. There was no effect whatever on my immune system. Maybe you have some infection that's getting your immune system overworked, but if you have a good PCP he or she should be able to pin it down for you.
I hope you get better fast.
