6 weeks today!

I made it to the 6 week mark. For some reason that seems like a big deal to me. In the shower this morning I raised my arm a bit higher and it felt pretty good to be able to do that without that extreme fear. I’ll still be fairly careful but if you are new to the PM hang in there time does pass!

I have an appointment Oct. 1 for a software update. Does anyone have experience with an update? I am calling it an software upgrade! My understanding is it will allow for the upper pacing to be raised. Does that make sense? Currently I think the highest is 145 and that will be raised higher. I have a Medtronic Revo MRI SureScan and so far all has been going well. I am back to running and have even done a 5k post surgery!

Best wishes to all the folks here. This Club has been a great resource and a place to come to when I have felt alone and full of fear.

Thanks,
Carlyn

You've probably already had the pm interrogated, they usually do it before we leave the hospital. Nothing to it! They place the thingy over it, they check to see what it's been doing since the last check, and they adjust the settings as needed. It's common to do some fine tuning after the first 6 weeks, once you've had a chance to heal and the heart has had a chance to get used to being paced.

Congrats on the 5k!
