Charity Cycle

Hi Guys,
In April 2013 myself and 3 others are planning to cycle the coastline of Ireland to try and raise money for the Irish Heart Foundation and CRY(Cardiac Risk in the Young) and to try and raise awareness. I am 19 and I had a pacemaker implanted in February and ever since I have been hell bent on doing this cycle. I really want to try and help make a difference. The reason I am posting is to ask has anyone ever done anything like this before?? Or knows possible sources of corporate sponsorship??? Or has any experience of fundraising for things like this??I would greatly appreciate any advice or help as I am passionate about doing this.
