Hi to everyone. It's been awhile since I've posted on here. Had my PM July 2012. No problems. Went for PM check 2 weks ago, got a call today from EP's office. Says I need to come in because "My heart showed episodes of running away"- her exact words. What does that mean? i know for several weeks I have commented to friends how I feel tired again. And I wake up in the middle of the night with my heart racing and feel like I am having a panic attack. Other times lately, I feel like my heart makes a thud flip-flop. I feel crazy. I feel like I sound crazy.

It sounds like your symptoms match what they found. Sometimes they can tweak the settings so you don't feel it but more often it's treated with medication. Good luck!

Yes, I have appt. next Fri with Dr. I had mitral valve prolapse dianosis in my early twenties. Did some beta-blockers for a few years, then was ok without them since. I know what a-fib feels like from those episodes, kinda feels the same. Thanks for the input from everyone. Blessings and health to all.

Hi forgiven.
I had a similar experience four years after implantation when the EP said "I can see episodes of tachycardia." She called DR who put me on Asprin, bisoprolol and a statin. I was not prescribed any meds before. He also arranged for me to have a angiogram and an echogram neither of which showed any problems though I was advised to keep up with the meds. I would recommend that you see a Dr soonest.
No, you're not crazy. I often wake in the night, I'm told that some/all pms do a maintenance session at night and I often get heavy pacing/ heart beats, particularly if I lie on my stomach. But see a Dr about the'running away.'
Regards.
Graham.
