Question for UK members....

I was advised today that my 10 month old son who has a PM may be eligible for disability living allowance. This possibility has never crossed my mind as he's not disabled.
After a bit of googling I've found that he might qualify if I put forward an application.
I'm not sure how I feel about applying, having a PM isn't a disability but if he qualifies what's the harm??
Does anyone in the UK have any experience on this or have any advice.
Thanks in advance.

And read the questions. It's an horrendous process and you may feel that having read the form he doesn't qualify. Also look at benefitsandwork.co.uk that has lots of help for disabled people at a small annual fee. (some info is free)

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
