Anniversary

Well, today I am proud to say it is my 2nd anniversary with my 1st Pacer.
I can say that I do not dwell on the fact that I have this small computer in my chest anymore, and can say life is quite good.
For all who are new to this, believe me,you can get thru this,I did,and so can you.
Again, thanks for all the help Ive received over the past 2 years on this journey, esp from Donr, who has been a floatation device for me,keeping me from going under in the beginning!
I had 4 days to wrap my head around the fact that I had a defective electrical system before the actual surgery, and was released from the hospital with only basic info, thus the reason I am so appreciative for this site, and its members.
I am thankful for life, with no restrictions, doing whatever I want to do with no limitations.I can brag about feeling amazing, strong and positive.Believe me, I don't let much of anything get in my way,or slow me down!
Thanks to all for all the help Ive received here!
Keep up the fight people!

Laura:)

It is encouraging to see someone celebrate 2 years when it is sometimes hard to see past today! This an extremely helpful forum, I have learned more from this site than anywhere else! I am just 5 months post SCA, but I am looking forward to a long, active life.
Thank you for the inspiration!
Jim

Always is good to hear from people who are doing so well.

This is a site to get support and help so most posts are understandably about problems and we can forget that most people do great after the healing and adjustment part is over.

May you have many more anniversaries!
Kathy

Congratulations for your 2 years and your positive spirit. You can feel your energy through your words. It will be a year for me I. August and this site has helped me through a roller coaster ride of emotions and stress this year but I made it. Congratulations again to you.

Laura, Congratulations!!

Congratulations on your Anniversary! I thank God for people like you, Laura. You help so many with your words of hope. I hope and pray I will be writing words of encouragement like you soon. I just had a Bang Up 4th of July in the hospital getting my first pacemaker. I had Left Bundle Branch Block and was passing out about once a month. So, on July 3rd, I passed out and luckily didn't hurt myself too bad, just sprained my ankles. I was wearing a Holter monitor and pressed the button as soon as I came to. They told me to come immediately to the ER as my heartbeat was 34 and would not come back up. My husband got me to the hospital in five minutes. They were waiting on me and immediately put a pacemaker in. I am still in shock.......although it was a painless procedure and quick. I was home in 21 hours, but now I just can't stop feeling sad over the situation. My husband is so upbeat and I don't want to drag him down. I am trying to think positive and be brave. After all, I am a breast cancer survivor of 9 years and I am used to being a fighter. Hopefully, people like you will lift me back up!!!
God Bless you and keep you in HIS tender care. You are a blessing to all of us newcomers!!!!

You know you're wired when...

The meaning of personal computer is taken a step further.
