So today is the day,my 1 year anniversary of my PM.
I can and yet cannot believe it's really been a year already,it's been tough sometimes, and yet other times,it seems like nothings changed.
Most definatly not where I ever imagined myself a bit over a year ago,but then sometimes we do not have a choice in the direction our lives take us..That was my case, happily, things are good, actually great with me,and for that I am eternally grateful.
I have been fortunate enough to live in Northeast Ohio, within an hour drive of the Cleveland Clinic, who is more than known for their Cardiac expertise.I am beyond grateful for that, guess I do live in the right place, for me,despite the Ohio winter weather!
For all who are newer than I,keep up the fight, ask questions, and move forward.I did it,so can you! It was not easy for me at all in the beginning, time does help and so does support.
I want to finish this with a really sincere Thank You to all who have supported me with encouragement as well as with information, expertise and knowledge through this first year for me.
Especially Donr, who has made me smile and laugh many times with his colorful stories and his detailed explanations.
Thank you all,I am so thankful for this site as well as everyone who is here,it is such a great place to have!
Now on to year #2............................................................
From soggy Ohio,
Laura:)

yes Don,that's my daughter Valerie on the left! Im 26 yrs her senior.
You are more than a little helpful, you have been VERY helpful in this past year, and I know in the future,I cannot thank you enough.
I started the day with a workout, celebrating with some cardio, felt great,a good way to start the day. Then off to work, for 9 hrs.I took a cake in to celebrate with my co workers, they thought it was funny, and so did I.
I tried to get the bakery ladies to put a PM on the cake, but they couldn't,not artistic enough maybe,so I settled for a red heart and the words "1st year",which worked.Really wanted the PM on it,oh well, cake was chowed upon throughout the day,so all was good!
As I said earlier, its been quite a year, and yes Don,I know I don't sound like the frightened, freaked out person I was in my beginning here, thank GOD!
And yes, wool making is Monday, looking forward to that,as always, odd I know but I love it!
Gives this computer in the chest a run for it's money!!!
I hope any newbies here hang in like I have,it is possible and probable to get thru a tough situation!
Thanks again to all!
Laura
Happy Anniversary Laura

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.
Wow! What a coincidence...

...Laura - I scrolled down to write a congrats msg & whose photo appears, but yours' w/ a daughter. Wonder if this is one of Blake's changes to the site? Daughter is on the left, isn't she?
Keep up the good work - you only have about 30+ yrs to match Tracey! You can do it!
Boy, this not is not written by the same person who came aboard a yr ago. Sounds like you've found a good buddy in your PM.
Glad I helped in a small way.
Now go out & make some yarn!
