Abdominal pacer
by Grateful1 - 2012-11-20 06:11:39
Hello,
I have an abdominal pacemaker, implanted May 2012. I had this done because I suffered an infection from a previous pacemaker which had to be removed. The infection damaged a valve so we went the abdominal route to protect the valves. I have a single lead St Jude pacer. I have no problems with it being in my abdomen. Takes a bit to get used to it but no complaints. I exercise regularly and no problems. Good luck! Hope this helped.

It made a HUGE difference in my life. Once I got it, I was finally able to run, and ride my bike long distances.
