Has a very strong itch where her breast used to be before cancer. It originates deep under her implant and drives her crazy. More crazy than I do even. :) I think it is a dangling nerve ending that sends phantom signals because it lost its original function/connection.

I get scar eruptions and itching

My whole scar will blister, but there is no fluid in it. It happens 5-7 times a month and lasts 2-6 hours each time. It is the strangest thing....no one knows what it is or what causes it. It has been happening for 2 1/2 years now, since I had a lead revision. It will happen any time of day and sometimes wakes me up because I can feel it blistering up.....it gets very itchy but I don't scratch it. I don't even tell the Doctors anymore.

There is a photo of it in the gallery when I was seeking answers.....that's when it is in full bloom.

Over ten yrs & that little sucker still itches - especially when it is hot & humid & I'm sweating like a horse.

Got used to it after a few yrs, however.

AngrySparrow, you hit the nail on the head with that description! That is exactly how my scar feels sometimes! Will it always itch, or will the sensation go away after a few years? I just got my first PM last December.

My ICD/pacer is not a burden. I still play tennis and golf.
