Radio frequency ablation on varicose veins. Has anyone had radio-frequency ablation done on their varicose vein in their legs?
I'm trying to find info on whether it causes issues with the pacemaker, and can't seem to find any. I've called the doctor's office, but am playing "beat the clock."
Thanks!

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
What was the Result?

I'm playing phone tag with my cardiologist -- I, too, have a pacemaker & the M.D. doing the RFA/laser next week seems to think everything will be fine. I'm just feeling more anxious with out confirmation from the Cardiologist. I had an ortho want to do an MRI a couple of years ago and I kept saying I have a pacemaker and it's not one of the ones approved for MRI. He kept tell me it would be okay. I didn't go back & the problem I was seeing him for resolved on it's own. BUT -- the pain from phlebitis recurring has me finally saying I hav to do this after trying everything else. Both legs - one on each day. Hope things turned out for you!
