I have been wondering about whether or not I actually know when the pacemaker is kicking in - it seems that I feel a little odd (some of my friends would say that was just normal for me) and check my pulse to find that it is a bit irregular. Then it seems to even out - this has happend a few times.

I am 100% paced as well, i do feel it working when i am walking a lot or running. Otherwise, I never really feel it lol If your pacer is set too high, you may feel it more

Myself, I'm pacing 100%. A couple times I had got in front of leaking microwave ovens that shut my PM down. NOT good at all.
You know you're wired when...
You make store alarms beep.

I am just thankful that I am alive and that even though I have this pacemaker it is not the end of the world.

I do not feel my pacing. I'm 100% paced so I guess you could say I'd feel it pretty quickly if it wasn't pacing. It's very uncommon but not unheard of to feel it. You shouldn't notice it getting irregular then smoothing out. The pm is set in fractions of a second, for example if your minimum rate is 60, it's actually set at 1 beat per second so it won't let you miss more than a second before it's there kicking in. You might be having pvc's or pac's, both of which feel odd but are harmless.
Make note of the times you feel something odd. Next time you have the pm interrogated tell them and they can check the report to see if anything is going on.
And odd is much more interesting than normal :o)
