PM phone call

Pete, (name of my Pacemaker) made his first phone call to automatically report his condition, to some unknown machine out in the ether. Should I be expecting some answer back from somewhere?? Like maybe EMail?

I have had 2 remotes now and about 6 weeks later received letter in mail stating it had been reviewed and all was ok. I think if things were not ok you would be contacted immediately. I do know that mine is looked at the following day.
Hope this helps

PHONE TECHNOLOGY ~ ~ ~

by Carolyn65 - 2012-12-28 02:12:17

Guess my 'Energizer Bunny' from 2009 (my name for my PM) is old ~ ha-ha ~ I was given a small box to bring home. Once every 3 months from an appt. previously made, a Lady from my heart doctor office calls to run tests on my PM by using the small box.

Minutes before the tech calls, I have to put on 'bracelets' around my wrists which are connected to the lil' box, which somehow is connected to the o/s World and her office!

The tech tells me what to do ~ lay the phone down over the machine for a few seconds a couple of times, put a supplied magnet over my PM for a few while the tech on the other end is doing something ~ then the tests are all over in approx. 5 minutes, we make my next quarterly appt. for my phone check and we are thru. The box goes back in the closet for 3 months, and my Energizer Bunny and I go on our merry way ~ Then on the 4th quarterly, I have to go into the office for a live check. I see my heart doctor once/year. Doc says it looks like my PM will last 'til 2017-18,

I ask my tech if everything looks ok and she always says, "Yes". I can ask for a copy of the 'ticker tape' to be mailed to me, but it is just 'gibberish' to me.

Good luck,
