Just wondering if a 5-year old Medronic can be replaced with the new model that sits inside the heart. I find the existing pacer a bit uncomfortable, particularly at night and would love to enjoy the newer version while I still have a few years left in me. Any idea what would happen to the pocket under the shoulder and the leads and wires if the old model were removed?

As of now, they will not do the new leadless devices if we have existing traditional leads so they would need to be extracted and removed completely first.
My pocket was moved with my last replacement. The old pocket just filled in as it healed, feels like it was never there.
