Woo Hoo 6 month celebration of my PM!

Today is exactly 6 months post implant and I'm finally feeling really good. So to celebrate for the whole week, I visited my PT, Chiropractor and GP as well as having 2 days of boot camp, 1 day for Yoga and today ran/walked 4 miles! I'll have my 6 mth check up with my cardio in a couple of weeks.

My heart works! And I'm reaping the benefits of a consistent heart rate. Motion is lotion for my joints so I'm moving now.

Feeling good took longer than I thought it would but as I look back a series of other things happened at the same time of discovering the need for the pm.

I'm healing, I'm happy and ready to see what I'll do for the next 45 years! Wishing you all well,
Natalie

Hi. Great to hear how well you are doing after 6 months! It is something to look forward to. I'm 5 weeks from PM day. I've been active before and I have stayed active. I know it's not everyone's experience but for me I needed to keep moving. I was doing laps the night of surgery and of course being careful of the arm these last 5 weeks. I went back for my post op and was cleared to go so I even ran a 5k race! Not much faster...yet but I was excited to be running and feeling well!

Best wishes to you!

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
