Hi all,
Just over a week or 2 ago I had the flu jab, and like last year and the year before, I got a stinking cold and now a chesty cough. The cough that I had before the PM implant I had for about four months, and it went soon as I had the PM.
I read on here somewhere that we should not take any cough syrups/mixtures, with most conditions such as complete heart block which is what I have, is this true? Are there any mixtures we can take??
I hope you are all enjoying the weekend
Best Len

cough meds

There are some cold meds that don't mix well with some heart meds.
There are some meds that we should not take with heart block, but that only applies if it's untreated. If we are paced, we are no longer in block.
I have taken cough medicine, it's no problem for me, but I find hot tea with honey works better.
Thank you.

Thank you ladies, I won't chance any mixtures just in case.
These coughs always go to my chest, its easing a little now.
Once again thank you. Len

guaifenesin

Hi! Just want to mention a product that helps some of us. It is guaifenesin and is found in numerous cough medications which can raise BP. Plain guaifenesin can be bought over the counter and helps loosen mucus. I have a history of acute bronchitis when ill, and plain guaifenesin helps me, since some cough medications are known to cause heart/BP issues for some of us. Please check with your medical care. Hope you are feeling much better soon. Hopeful Heart
