Tattoo need answers soon :)

Well it's been six. Months since my surgery and I've decided I want a tattoo which is a few small hearts with a needle and thread and I want the thread to go around the scar a couple times but not touching it cus my dr said they will be cutting me open in the same spot and I don't wanna ruin it my question Is has anyone have a tattoo around or near the scar and do u think its ok ? :) thank you

What does your doctor say?
Personally, I would not do it because of the risk of infection. There are so many people who had problems with inflammation/infection after getting a tattoo. If your pacer site becomes infected that can lead to having to remove the whole pacemaker system (incl. leads) and in the worst case bacteria could spead and affect your heart muscle.
I think there are much safer sites on your skin to have a tattoo. Oh, and here's a consumer information on tattoos issued by the FDA:

I had a tattoo of my daughters feet print at birth already on my chest before my PM. My DR was cool enough to put my pacer up under my existing tattoo. Now it looks pretty cool as a raised set of infant feet print on my chest.
