.........................I am sitting in bed with Mrs TM, a cup of coffee on the side table..its about 6.30am here and i have the joy of facing 2 fried eggs on toast and some beans before 7am when I am nil-by-mouth.

Its a chilly morning here in a very dark UK..but..hey-ho..lets bring the day on. Admission at 11am and surgery, probably around 4-ish.

SO sweet of you to write..

My very best wishes to all at PMC, hoping that everyone has a good day....I wish that I was with IAN MC, flying to Lanzarotte !!

TM update

Mrs TM here! TM is back on the ward, operation was around 2 hours long -- longer than I expected. He is very groggy from the GA, and will stay in overnight. The surgeon removed the PM and leads on his left side, and implanted a new one, also with two leads, on his right side. Seems it all went well. The Doctor will see him again in the morning. He sends greetings!

............tell me, is this a bit of a 'first'?....its 11.30 at night and I cannot sleep, so am enjoying an Eccles cake and a cup of tea. All is quiet on Ward 34...just the whirring of computers and some old chap snoring. The lights are all dimmed so I can see lots of little red and green neon lights.
The night staff are Isabel and Manjula..lovely Ladies...I briefly told Isabel about PMC and of the well wishes that have been sent from round the World.

Between the amazing technology that both powers us and enables us to send, from a hospital bed, in the middle of the night to a Global group of caring friends + the truly gifted Surgical teams that fix you up....as Louis Armstrong sang.."What a wonderful World""
I rather think that it may be bedtime for TM....Ni-Night !

Sue, its a shame you are not here as I have my very best paper pants on !...gowned up and oven ready.

Ive met my Anaesthetist, Elizabeth and all the preliminaries are done.

Thank you for your kind thoughts Mrs TM and I really appreciate the love that you send out. Its 1.30pm here and they reckon I'll go to theatre at 4.30..so 3 hours to lift off.

I'll let you know how it went just as soon as I can, or Mrs TM will write Toodle-Pip Tattoo Man
