sick sinus syndrome

I have had a pacemaker for 5 years now because of sick sinus syndrome. Ive noticed lately that my hands are turning blue/grey from time to time. I assume that it would be due to lack of blood flow. Has anyone else with SSS experienced this? I go to my primary DR in two weeks so I will as her but I thought it might be linked to SSS in some way.

I would not wait 2 weeks, and I would not assume it's SSS. Blue is definitely a sign of lack of blood flow but your SSS is pretty much fixed with the pm. Good luck.

I agree

Don't wait 2 weeks. Call your Doctor and be seen sooner. Besides, this will be a very long 2 weeks for you......waiting wise.

If you are having Bilateral cyanosis...GET TO THE ER NOW.

One hand being cyanotic is not good, but when you have both hands....Just go, don't even reply to this message...just go.

I have had 2 episodes of both my hands turning blue and staying that way for hours. They are not cold and do not hurt. My cardiologist said it is not due to my heart or I would be dizzy, which I was not. I would love to hear if any one else has had this and has a diagnosis.

Went to my primary physician and she said sometime things get "kinked" and cut off blood flow.
That just doesnt seem like a good answer to me so Im going to go see my cardiologist to see what he says.

You know you're wired when...

You have the perfect reason to show off your chest.

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
