Boston scientific PM works fine and I am comfortable with its assistance. However, I am in trouble as a runner or worker as I am next to passing out several times each day. I am weaker than I was only a short interval ago and am undergoing all sorts of tests. Most recently a Tilt Table Test was performed and I passed out at 24 minutes after hqving the blood pressure drop steadly. The cardio Doc has me wearing hip high compression stockings and drinking water constantly. Just now he added Midodrine 2.5 mg 2xday as the sox did nothing to help. So far the drug has me in a fog most of the time. Any ideas?

Buckeye, you have described my situation also. I drive only close to home and do not know when I will almost blackout. Midodrine has been of little value so far and seems to increase the intensity of dizzyness. I am 81, "was" an active marathon runner with 55 plus marathons, best under 3 hours to last one over 6 by a minute or so. Today I cannot go even 5 miles, at 4.0 mph without risking fainting. Running pace is out of the question. Have every test that the Doc's considered and am told the results are all in a normal range. Will post any improvement if any is found. Good Luck to you also.

Tilt table test

Mel's
I also failed the tilt table test. I wear the stockings but don't really think they help. I've been diagnosed as having an autonomic disorder. I had signs of this all my life but it got worse as I got older. In July I felt so faint that I could no longer drive. I've always had a very low HB and at that point my Dr decided on the PM. The first month was bad but after some PM adjustments, I started driving again and felt good. Lately I have felt faint again and am not driving. I have an appt next week so am hoping maybe I need additional adjustments. Good luck to you. I'll watch for any new posts.
