PACEMAKER IN
Comment posted by Caguy on 2012-08-30 14:43.
Had my pacemaker put in tue's about noon and went home the next day about the same time. To tell you the truth I can't fill any difference before and after. I'm not sore or in any pain. I have to wear a sling for a couple of days and not raise my arrn above my sholder but other then that I'm ok. The teck gave me a test before I left and said everything was working like it should.Well at lease I'll take aweek off and make sure I don't mess anything up. I hope this will make me fill better and not tired like I use to be. Will let you know how things are next week. Thank you Al

Resist the temptation
by ILoominatedEKG - 2012-08-31 03:08:35
I really wish I was in your shoes. I just had a lead migrate through my heart wall. That was painfull ..... VERY painful. Believe me, you want to resist the temptation to do anything you don't have to do for a while .... about a month to be exact. For sure, don't do anything your doc said don't do. Heck, I followed instructions and it STILL went bad. Oh well.......
Best wishes - envious Dave

Thanks for your replys, I did a little driving around in my golf cart to make sure everything was working good were I live. I'm a assitant manager for 270 mobile home park and I also live here and help mantain the place. There were a few things that had to be done but I got my helper to do the manuel labor of the work as I walk him thought the job "elec" ped replaced breakers. He never did it so I had to show him how other then that all I did was paper work in my office. SO I think that I'm not pushing myself and just relaxing. Take care AL
Stayng home
by ElectricFrank - 2012-09-01 04:09:36
Actually there is no reason to stay home unless you would be doing some kind of work that involves raising that arm or too heavy lifting. Getting some paperwork done should be no problem.
I'm retired, but was out exploring the desert in my 4wd in just a few days. My only problem was remembering not to use my left arm for getting into the rig.

I am just now 40 but have had these blackouts all my life. I am thrilled with the pacer and would do it all over again.
An Easy Surgery
by Carly McCurry - 2012-08-30 04:08:18
My first two pacemakers were in my stomach and the surgery was quite painful, but the one in my chest barely hurt at all. Most of the tie I don't even know that it exists. Just make sure that you go to your follow up appointment to make sure that it is going at the right pace.
You will find that pacemakers make you feel more at ease than in the past, and are nothing at all to worry about:)
