.............this a little boast...
...TM ..here..completed the 7th Adidas Thunder Run, here in the UK....
So all you do is,...at 12 o'clock on Saturday get running ....a 10k / 6 mile circuit that takes in un-runnable hills,..brick strewn + mud slides and to top it off the challenge of the tree root forest stage full of major trips.
Yours truly did 5 X !0 Kilo laps.....OK Ive lost a big toenail and some have some blisters....BUT...
I am now in the Ultra Runner category, having covered more than Marathon distance in 24 hours....
Thunder Run is now one of the most challenging runs in the UK.....EPIC ..would describe it well..
So..Tattoo Man ran this in a gymslip,.. wig and college tie.....and...for those who can handle it....gymslip tucked into the panties wit a bit of bog roll slipped in for good effect..
This year Adidas Thunder Run had a whopping 2800 competitors..with 140 SOLO runners that I was a very proud member of ...
My club has been there from the get go 7 years ago..NOTFAST running club and Adidas Thunder Run has a splendid relationship that is forged from a deep respect for Big Patrick.
Check out Thunder Run
I'm the one in the gym slip and big wig
50k..30 miles....beyond Marathon
Blisters and a big toenail hanging off....all in an a days work..
TM UK now officially Ultra Runner

You are a credit to all of us PM wearers.
Though I guess your recent accomplishment puts a crimp in any plans for a pedicure in the near future, eh?
Wow!

Congratulations! That's amazing! You know, the ultras are the really tough guys among the runners ;-) I'll never belong to those...
I did my first official 10k on Saturday:

CLS sensor reduced the rate after just 3 km, duh! I'll have two more settings changed on Monday, hoping that this helps.
Respect !

Well done Tatman ; that really is a great achievement ! .
Now Tatwoman, if I may call you that, you can take off the ladies clothes now (or do you feel strangely comfortable wearing them ? )
I searched the Thunder Run photo galleries in vain and spotted many weirdos but none wearing wigs, gymslips and panties , maybe you were queuing up for the ladies loo at the time.
Runners in fancy dress add to the interest . Last time I did the London Marathon I was overtaken by an ostrich . I still don't know if I was hallucinating or not !
5 x 10 k laps is fantastic especially with a pacemaker and your replacement heart valve ; who cares about the odd toenail !
Cheers
Ian
PS Congrats Inga too, hope you get the CLS sorted out,
Congrats!

..............your words of encouragement are really appreciated !...'TR 24' has been part of my running year for a very long time now since its inception 7 years ago when there were only 130 runners...there are more than that this year who run 'Solo'...the other 3000 + runners are part of teams of 8..5..2.
My Club NOTFAST Newark UK are considered 'Pioneers'..and as such we have automatic entry..as in, we are asked how many places we want...this year we had 21.
The rest of the Mortal World have to enter on-line ...last year the site went viral in 60 minutes with..15,000 trying to get in. The Pioneers are effectively Thunder Run Royalty...we even have our own exclusive , trackside pitch...all 400 sq yards of it.
Our best runner did 18 laps..as in 180 km..as in 115 miles...Adam only eats Haribos and Potato Chips !!!
Next year, when I will be 66 years old I plan on doing 6 laps !!
INGA...congratulations on your 10k run...keep at it.
IAN MC...if you have never tried it, do wear a frock when running !!...remarkably well ventilated...even better than Hurdling Shorts...It also gives one a great opportunity to flirt with just about anybody..I kopped off at least 8 times,..and I was still running !!!
My very best wishes to ALL in PMC.

Really impressed with your achievement Tatman.! You are AMAZING. Have been away on hols so just been 'catching up' with what's been going on at this site. We were up in bonnie Scotland and I did the Inverness park run whilst i was there. Really struggled though after eating and drinking all week and yet again having calf problems. I would really like to do a half marathon but my calf is not allowing me to increase the mileage. Going for some physio tomorrow so maybe will get somewhere with it.. Reading what your achievements are does encourage me to keep on trying - very well done!
