Frank oh wise one........

..........I have been musing over differences in methods of measurement. How do you explain this ?

Pretty well every motor car tyre (tire) that I have ever come across is measured Imperially for rim diameter and Metrically for width. For example my car has 16 inch x 205 millimetre tyres. Now I know this wont help us one damn next week when the world comes to an end, but I sure would like to know before Armageddon because Mrs TM and I will be very busy that day.
