Hi Mrs TM here, on his behalf!
Surgery didn't go quite to plan. Infection! Pacemaker moved slightly and pacing lowered to 50. Anti-biotics for the infection and we have to kep a close eye for fever or swelling, if there is any he must come back as an emergency. If he copes with the new pacing the surgeon intends to remove the pacemaker and leads under general anaesthetic after Christmas. He is stayng in hospital overnight - the morphine has knocked him out!! Will keep in touch.

For the top of the evolutionary food chain, invisible bugs sure seem to be a pretty powerful advery.
Fortunately we are well weaponised.
TM's slant on things keeps many of us going on this forum, and his sdvice is invaluable.
Also he is lucky to have you.
Hope he feels on top of the world soon,
Tke care of yourselves

Hi Mrs. TM,
Really sorry about hubby as we've been comparing notes with my pm revision. I'm at home & balancing the infection scare as I type. Went into hospital for blood test checking for infection since my revision. Have some nasty looking site, swollen & drainage. I've got the antibiotic but it's a wait & see as the culture test results come back. I'm not about to take the oral antibiotic unless it's really necessary.
Here's hoping Mr. TM shakes the bugs as we compared notes & he was most interested how my revision turned out. I will know in a couple days when I have my checkup as to how sucessfull this 5th PM implant site looks like.
Tell the MAN that I've got him in my Prayers also.
DonB

TM: Welcome Home!

Not really unusual. I had a localized infection in a foot following surgery w/ NO effect shown in blood samples. Diagnosed via tissue cultures from site.
Glad to have you back. Now that all my wounds from your sharp-edged wit have healed, I'm ready for more.
Don
