Scar

Hi all,
Just wandering whether anyone else's PM scar has taken a while to fade.I had mine put in nearly a year ago and the scar is still quite pink!!

Vitamin E oil on the scar? I think my 1st scar was red longer than my subsequent openings of same site ( PM #2 & #3) but as soom as completely healed I put a little Vit. E oil on it every night. My current scar from PM #3 in 8/11 is almost invisble. Of course we all heal differently & if you had any "issues" with the healing that may also be a cause of it still being pink. Look under the "Search" button on top right of this page as we have had other dicussions on this issue.

Thanks for that Janet,I will try some Vit E oil.It has completely healed,the scar just remains pink.Thanks I will try the oil though.

My first one that I got in my 20's was white within a few months, this last one (40+) took over a year, but it did eventually fade to white. I used medical grade vitamin E on it, but a plastic surgeon told me that as long as you keep it moist it doesn't really matter what you use on it.
