"Just a Little Heart Attack"

Below is a link to a youtube video made a few years ago by AHA and Elizabeth Banks (a comedy actress) on women ignoring warning signs for a heart attack. She does it with humor but the message is "Listen to your body".

I would think this should apply to men as well.

A whole bunch of...

...prigs bellyached about it being humorous!!! The comments were more telling about people's attitudes toward heart attacks than the ad itself!

That was masterful work It was also absurdly outrageous - but it made its point!

If it was so bad, why did the complainers watch it? Just to be able to complain? Those people exist.

The young son was very well done- he recognized what was happening & that Mom was in trouble, but would not listen to him, so he took action that only a kid could do - looked it up & handed the phone to Mom to read!

Even her husband didn't "Get it" & allowed himself to be brushed off.

We have a widow friend who is alive today because her husband did not allow himself to be brushed off at a very early stage of her heart attack symptoms.

GH, to support your comment - he never shared his problems w/ her & one evening while watching the news, stood up, clutched his chest & fell to the floor - most likely dead before he hit it..

Thanks for putting it up there.
